Who We Are, What We Do and Why We Need You to Join Us
Inspired by the French priest and educator St. John Baptist De La Salle, De La Salle, Inc. began as a private Catholic middle school in The Ville neighborhood of North St. Louis in 2001. We believe education gives hope and opportunity for all people to lead lives of dignity, freedom and personal achievement. In 2015, De La Salle transitioned into a public charter school to serve more children. Today, De La Salle, Inc. and La Salle Middle School work together to serve our St. Louis City middle school students and graduates and their families. We also partner with six other city middle schools and now serve more than 425 young St. Louisans every year with educational programs, financial assistance and a lifelong relationship of support.
We need the partnership of other like-minded people in order to succeed with our mission. Your participation in this year’s Catch a Rising Star Virtual Gala will enable us to continue together. The COVID-19 pandemic has made a difficult task even more challenging, but together we can help the Rising Stars make their dreams of a good, successful life a reality.
